Postby Chip » Mon Sep 25, 2006 12:09 pm

I got to looking at whats coming up and when,,,,, I just realized we dont have anything carved in stone for the usual Dec gathering,,, I know some change was discussed at one of the past gatherings about maybe going to Huntington Beach south of Myrtle Beach,, or even Hunting Island near Hilton Head,,,

somewhere new gets my vote,, that is if we are gonna go anywhere as a group,,, iffin not I guess Ill have to figure out what to do with one days vacation I had set back just in case,,,

Yall think about it, and see what ya come up with ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Hi Chip unless you have you've got your heart set on going to the beach Barb and i live in a nice campground in Lexington,NC on Highrock Lake. We could handle about 15 campers Barb runs the place in the winter the owners told her last year she could give a good group discount. I might even roll out my smoker and do a couple of shoulders. Just thinking out loud.

Jim

PS The name of campground is Highrock Lake Marina & Campground.
Some days all you can do is smile and wait for some kind soul to come along and pull your ass out the bind you've gotten yourself into.

Chip,
We are up for a DEC get together if I don't loose to much work time over my broken leg.
Last year was great but closer wouldn't be bad.
I still like the idea of a beach campout in Dec.
I don't think we could have had better weather than last year

Hey Chip, I guess it is still up-in-the-air about the December Beach trip? Hopefully Alan will chime in soon. Carla and I are looking forward to a beach trip this December. In fact, Carla has already got the time off for the first weekend in December  We are heading to da beach....somewhere 8)

Jim,
Carla and I are probably going to make it to Highrock Lake this coming January, provided we don't see too much :snow

You go Bro. That's how Darla and I feel also. We're going to Florida in November to Anastasia and well it would depend on what's up here in December on going to the Carolinas  February? Got to see what Ohio, Michigan, and rest have planned for the year. Waiting for the TearJerkers chapter directors to post their events. As this group (TearJerkers) grows there are more events to decide on because like ROSS & CARLA..............DENNIS & DARLA travel.

Huntignton Beach SP has plenty of sites available for the first weekend in area #1 so lets do it there just for a change of scenery. I believe the walk to the beach is a little longer though. Anyone been there before ? Woody? What dates are Talbot ? Will try to come if A: Have funds B: Have tow vehicle C: Wanda not working. It may be a lean camping season for us as I have to replace gas pack at home. Big bucks. Am trying to sell GMC and or other tear to pay for it.
