BufordT,
I know you are on board and glad to have you . I started a new thread to announce the new chapter, The other thread topic line did not reflect it enough and if people are interested enough to make us easier to find.

Enjoyed talking to you as well, let me know when you are in the area.

Just got got back from B.S.A camping with the Teardrop in the Keys. Meet with Len Daddonna of the Tearjerkers in Fiesta key KOA on Sunday. Will be camping in Johnathon Dickinson State Park in Jupiter on Dec. 3-5 B.S.A campout. I might be camping before that there to check it out prior to the Dec 3-5 date
I have called all the campgrounds in the St. Augustine area for the first gathering of the Florida Chapter of the TearJerkers. None of them have any storm damage. We have to figure out when and where, like Memorial Day, or sooner. I would like to have a gathering prior to that. Let me know what you think? BufordT, Jabber and anyone else that might be interested.

Count Carla and me in. The St. Augustine area would work for us. We will be traveling in from the most northwest corner of NC.

St. Augustine area sounds great. I checked out the areas campgrounds. Does anybody have any knowledge of the areas campgrounds? I found KOA's , state parks, county parks and private campgrounds in the area. Let me know if you know something or have a preference about the area.

We Carolinas folk will be looking for something every other month I think. Mid Feb and we'll be ready to go again after Pisgah in Oct and Myrtle Beach In Dec. I Like state Parks myself as thay are usually quieter and less expensive. But you can call me Gumby; I'm very flexible.

All we are missing is time and place. Meeting everyone I am there!. Like I said before I have no knowledge of camping in the St. Augustine/ Jacksonville area. I have talked to alot of campgrounds in the area, however, without no knowlege of the area. It makes for a semi difficult decision for me for the first gathering. There are plenty of areas on or near the coast I have been looking at. A state park would be nice as well I have always liked the quiet these places offer. I am still making contacts in the area for this to happen in Feb. I would like to do it sooner like in January. I have to post the schedule for 2005 gatherings in the TearJerkers site soon. As far as going "Uphill" not a problem. When I go home I could coast "Downhill" home, think of the savings in gas I will have   As I said earlier I will be at Jonathan Dickinson State Park (Jupiter, Florida) on Dec. 3-5 with teardrop in tow for a BSA family campout. Anybody near there stop on by
