Co-Hosted by the Southern Appalachian Chapter and the Florida Chapter of the TearJerkers “Fittin Ta Git Redday 2007” will be held at Fort Clinch State Park in Fernandina, Florida. http://www.abfla.com/parks/FortClinch/fortclinch.html This gathering is a pre-warm up to The South verses The North……East Coast National Rally to be held in 2008. http://www.reserveamerica.com/fl/Fort_C ... mparea=274 , and we will be in the River Area Loop. The Beach Area Loop is designed for Class A RV’s and the State Park will NOT allow tents or EZ-ups that have to be staked into the ground. This is why we decided on the River Area Loop.

Fort Clinch State Park, one of the oldest parks in the Florida park system, was acquired in September 1935. The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was responsible for some of the initial development of the park. Occupied by both Union and Confederate troops during the Civil War, Fort Clinch was never completed due to slow construction. The development of more powerful armament rendered the fort's masonry walls obsolete. Today, the Florida Park Service offers living history interpretation of historic Fort Clinch. A steep ramp leads to the second story of the Fort and Living History reenactors talk about life as a soldier in stationed at Fort Clinch.

We'll be there…the whole family...I'm pretty sure...because I just dropped the "seed" in my wife's head.

I haven't booked a site yet, but probably will by end of day today or tomorrow. (There are still a bunch left.)

I figure we'll do the weekend there, and then add on 2 nights at a hotel in St. Augustine to see the city. Never been there, and my wife's dying to.

All I gotta do now is come up with the world's best side tent solution between now and August.
