Hi Guys,
Well Lynne and Pete have been washing and cleaning for at least 2 hours now, then we are going to have the 'ole nap. We had a great time but we are really missing Frank and Linda (especially Linda's "Yeah Buddie"), Alan and Wanda, and Clancy and Fain. We were all so lonesome without you all!!!!! Our mexican feast was wonderful! Those frickin' ROOTS kept us all up until 2:00 am Friday and 1:00 am Saturday!?!?! But I have to express my sincere thanks to Woody and Ross for helping me with Pete and Chipey. For those of you who didn't come it will make the best story for the campfire picnic on the next trip. See you all soon!
Lynne and the Petee ......
Sounds like you all had a good time and we are jealous. Wish we could have made it but things happen. And I'll be eating chili for the next two weeks. To the new folks; wish we could have met you but we will not miss another gathering I hope. Wanda and I are taking a couple of weeks next month and doing some travelling. She wants to go to Helen GA and Unicoi State Park is where we will be from the 10-12 June. Only about an hour or so west of Greenville SC if I have my calculations right. Chip says he can probably make it so if anyone else in the gang wants to come, give me some feedback and I'll start a thread. After a family visit near Atlanta we will probably head to the coast. PS: Ross, if there was any cost incurred by our not showing please let me know.
I am sold for sure now. Been trying to get the wife rallied up to help me build one every since I got back. Was nice to meet everyone and get an upclose look at the tears. Wish I could have stayed longer.
Alan,
Sorry that you and Wanda and Frank and Linda couldn't make it. Hope everything is alright, missed ya at the gathering. I can't still quite figure out when Ross and I walked over to Chip's "Pickle Palace" I had no problem with them "ROOTS", but, on the way back how they grew and really impeded our progress on the "WALK" back to Ross's Teardrop and my Teardrop campsites. How in the heck it out in that short amount of time such rapid and almost unnatural growth of them "ROOTS" in an area we just passed through earlier with no problems I can't explain it
