Yep; I signed up as a vendor for the Montgomery bird fair a while back. Normally it's held labor day weekend but at the last moment the bird club had to cancel due to Katrina, lack of electricity and gas the weekend after the hurricane. Many of the vendors who attend come from the south Alabama/Louisiana area.

They rescheduled it for the end of October and held onto our table rentals. It's a nice fair; I'd like to reduce our gouldian finch population so we have more time to go camping.

So...we're trying to hit for the December gathering. It's easy for me to plan to attend and ask for leave but Bill does a lot of traveling in his job and often doesn't know his schedule very far in advance.

I look forward to root tripping with the others.

:( Well I hate doing this but Darla & I have to cancel the trip. I contacted Ross so he knows the reasons. Anyway, we have site #47 in Apple Tree Loop. I have it reserved by ReserveAmerica. I am going to cancel the reservation today around 11:00am through them. We would have had the site from Oct 20th to the 24th. We planned on staying longer and seeing the sites plus pick up some parts for our truck at N.P.D. on the way home. Oh well.

I hope someone from the group gets the site. Time ran out, gotta go to the doctor.

Bye for now,
Dennis

We will sure miss having Dennis and Darla this time. You two are a lot of fun. Maybe Myrtle Beach in December :worship:

The time is almost upon us. We will be fine tuning the teardrop this weekend. Changing out from summer to winter. This time of year, you've got to be prepared for any type of weather. I think Alan coined it right....Make sure you've got your suntan lotion and your long johns

Just wanting to get some kind of an idea of the menu for Saturday night:

Ross & Carla :Spiced Beef Stew, DO
Dan & Jane :Boneless Country Ribs in Sauce
Jim & Rachel :Chicken Pot Pie

;) Hi

We have added a couple more mouths to feed. Our friends Tom & Nancy will be joining us (in a tent). They will be bringing a cheezy tossed salad for Saturday night.

Just for info: I set up screen name [email protected] for a simple reference we can give out to people. Any E mails and I can direct them to the forum. Anybody have any problems with that please let me know and I'll kill it. Not 100 percent sure if we will make it this weekend. Won't know till Thursday.
