Little Talbot

Postby robfisher » Sat Jan 08, 2005 11:24 am

Hello All,

First time posting.
Just made reservations for Little Talbot. Got in site 12. It will be fun to meet a new bunch of teardroppers. Our tear won't be complete but it may be road worthy enough to make the trip. If not we'll be tenting.

We've had a lot of fun with our teardrop out west at several gatherings. But I couldn't bring it to Florida so we are restoring a 47 Kenskill that we bought here. There is still much to do to complete it. I better head out to the garage and get to work.

It will be great to see an original teardrop, Rob. There is just something about an original.

Robert,
I got your email and I guess you found us. Welcome. Looking foward to meeting you at the gathering. Hopefully with the teardrop done by then.

I am bringing the deep fryer to Little Talbot for a turkeyfor Saturday night. What do you think? Everyone like turkey?Maybe we could get a potluck thing going or something.

I have contacted my cousins about the wood supply and delivery. They will let me know what they find out

Woody, Keep us posted on the firewood. A half cord should be enough. So far it looks like this : Site#/Name: 2 Bob R, 3 Woody, 4 Chip, 6 Ross, 7 Frank, 8 Alan, 12 Rob, 13 Dani, 15 Jim and significant others. That's 9 confirmed tears and 10 if I can find somebody to use my spare. Did I miss anyone ?

Hey Alan,

Frank and Linda are in site #7 and Carla and I are in site #6. Do you have your next tear completed?

Woody,

We love turkey. Never had a fried bird, but it sounds good. We will bring a green bean casserole, which we will cook in a Dutch Oven.

Ross,

Man are you in for a treat, the turkey comes out moist and tender  , not greasy like you would think it would being fried. Deep frying seals the moisture inside , the grease stays outside of the meat and it only takes 3 minutes per pound @ 350 deg. So you figure that a 12 pound bird only take only 36 minutes to cook :applause:

8) Hello Everyone.
Sorry we have been out of touch. Life can sure get busy!
Santa did bring our new teardrop for Christmas and we are taking it to Myrtle Beach for its maiden voyage this coming weekend.
We want to join the "Fun in Florida in February" event and we will be on site #13. We will be leaving SC on Friday morning and would be interested in hooking up for the convoy to Florida.

:D Hi Alan,
Yes! Jake and I have Friday 15th off and we plan to head to Myrtle Beach for a test run with the new camper. (see how many things we forget- Ha).
We did not make the Dec meeting at Myrtle Beach State Park, so we wanted to go check it out. I haven't made any reservations - I didn't think I would need them in the middle of Jan. Would love to have a friend there. We will stay Friday and Sat night. If you think I need to make reservation let me know.
Ccan tell me where the park is located? Dani

;) Hi Jim,
Thanks! We do feel like proud parents. In fact when our friends came over to see it, their 1st comment was, "Oh look, a baby camper."
Jim, you will have to tell us how to get the picture of our camper up on the website under our name. I'm afraid I have used the sum total of all my skills just sending this email. In fact don't tell me - Jake is the fix it man in this house when I completely freeze up the computer and send all of our email to Siberia. How are those doors coming. We will be one lot over from you on # 13. Dani
