Due to health problems Ross kind of picked up for us on that. Looks good for us down here. The gathering in October looks to be a fairly good one even if a bit chilly. Alan

Chip,

I was north in July. Spent the 4th at my Mom and Dad's. They live in Hartwell Ga. About an hour from you. Next time I'm up that way I'll let you know maybe we can get together. I'd like to see your tear and you in person.

Okay, folks, I'm now a registered user. Will someone show/tell me how to be identified with the Southeast chapter since that's my location? Thanks.

Welcome Tearsinmyeyes...

There's nothing to register to or for... for the southeast chapter...

The way we recognize you is by the way you post... and where you show up...

Are you going to show up in Myrtle Beach in December? Just wondered...

Southeast chapter

Postby TearsInMyEyes » Tue Oct 26, 2004 7:30 pm

Oops, scratch previous message - believe I've figured it out for myself. (not much experience with discussion groups, etc. - navigating in unknown territory). Anyway, hello Southeast chapter guys and gals. Hope to build a teardrop by next spring. Still collecting information and tips. Would love to have been in NC this past weekend at Pisgah to see teardrops in person. Maybe next "local" gathering.

Oh you are doing just fine. We'll all know who you are before you know it...

So tell me, what do you plan to have build by next spring? A Vardo Teardrop?

How about a long weekender?

Okay surprise me... what are you building?

What am I going to build? Okay, well, let's see ... the real tear in my eye has a Camp-Inn name on it. However, husband shudders and says "I can build one of those thing for ya, honey. Just tell how (and when and with what and what did you say one of those little things cost, sweetie?). With that said, no real written in stone plans yet. That's why I wanted to see some homebuilts in person. See if husband can rise to the occasion. Of course, he is a multi-talented individual and can certainly find his way to Necedah, Wisconsin, if necessary.

Get on over to the General forum and start reading. I think you will both get more satisfaction from a homebuilt as it will truely be "yours". Welcome to the group. Alan

Thanks, Mike, Chip, and Alan for the welcome. Momma says husband might be able to pull it off, so maybe we will see you in Myrtle Beach in December.

New to the world of teardrops

Postby TearsInMyEyes » Wed Oct 27, 2004 11:25 am

Mike, we're new to the teardrop world as you know. Vardo? Longweekender? Surprise? Husband glanced up to the screen and saw all that -- had to pick him up off the floor. He's ready to get that teardrop ready TODAY! (Thought you said something about viagra and a teardrop for a long weekend with a nice surprise.) Now I know this is a public forum and I do apologize up front for this misundersytanding. I told husband that Vardo and Longweekender were types of teardrops. Please don't kick us off. Just couldn't let that one pass. Even Momma got out of her rocking chair. Wanted a teardrop of her own right away! Oops, sorry -- there I go again.
