Yes, Cloudland Canyon SP is in the very NW corner of Georgia, near Rock City, TN and Lookout Mountain. There are wonderful views at Cloudland Canyon!

We have our reservations for that weekend at Cloudland. We are going to try and get in the west rim campground. Unfortunately you can't reserve specific sites - only a "type" of site. I am not sure what time we'll be there - depends on if we can take a full day off of work or just a half day.

Been wanting to go to Cloudland Canyon for a while, and now that we have the TTT, was thinking about going the weekend of Thanksgiving, or maybe as early as Sept 21. Got something else going on the 6th though.

Looking forward to hooking up with some folks around the southeast. We're about an hour and a half south of Chattanooga and have Fort Mt, Carter's Lake, and Pigeon Forge on our to do list. I'd like to go back to Trackrock again.

tamalebob -

If you go to Fort Mountain, let us know. We are down the east side of the mountain about 8 or 10 miles.

Tear Fan,

Will do. I'm hoping to so something this weekend, but don't know where yet.

If you're in Ellijay, then you probably know well one of my old favorite spots; the primitive sites along Noontoola Creek. I'd like to take the TTT up to Frank Gross CG sometime, but I think the single lane gravel roads might still be a little tight in that area.

Sorry Cheryl, didn't mean to hijack the thread. :frightened:

That area is very nice up there. It is about 1 hr or so noret of Cavr Spring. My Trailer will not be done by then but sounds like a nice trip.

The trails up there are wonderfull and the drive in can really be something in its self.

I'm on my way to Florida that weekend, and that is a bit North for a stopover, however, I will be at the KOA just North of Macon on Friday night. (Just long enough to pull in and sleep, then back on the road on Saturday).
