Yep. Hopefully it will be fixed by July. It's a huge pool.

Was just talking about that today. When is everyone arriving? I was hoping we could get a dinner gathering for Friday night. We have a family gathering on Saturday planned so I can't do it then. Would Friday night be okay with everyone?

I can bake a ham and make potato salad and host the dinner at my site if that's ok. Give me your thoughts.

 (Yummmmm, Becca's ham and potato salad)

Friday night is OK with us, hope Michele can make it, we can get together late if need be. Will bring desert, DO peach cobbler and homemade ice cream.

My sister and I can make it Friday night. Peach cobbler sounds so good. We were also thinking about making ice cream.

I would be glad to defer to your ice cream making, or if you think we need 2 freezers, I could also make some.

How's dinner at 6:30 at site #107 sound? I'll provide a baked ham, potato salad, dinner rolls or corn bread, paper plates/cups, napkins and utensils. Please bring whatever you would like to drink and a chair. If 6:30 isn't good for everyone, let me know.

Michelle & Kimberly, John & Wife, Steve & Kim, Dave & Karen

VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ.

The swimming pool at Hillsborough River State Park is still broken and there is no date as to when it will be fixed...probably not this year. The roads in and around the park are currently being repaved which means hot asphalt. And, there is a 40% chance of rain Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I am seriously considering cancelling my camping trip in large part because of the pool being closed, the hot asphalt being on my vehicle and rain to top it off. I really am not happy with the campground for not trying to fix the pool in time. Being that it's been close to 100 deg. over here, it would not be easy to stay cool without the pool. IF ya'll still want to camp and have a cookout, I will be happy to come and bring dinner on Friday night and hang out but I really don't think I am going to camp. Please get back with me and let me know how ya'll feel about it.

EDIT TO POST:
I just cancelled my reservation and got a FULL refund. If you decide to cancel, call 1-888-622-9190 and explain why you are cancelling -- pool is out of order now and repaving of the roads in the park this weekend. They were very nice and helpful and issued a full refund.

I just called the number that Becca provided and cancelled and got a full refund. You do have to explain the pool situation to make sure you are refunded the full amount.

I am very very sad that we are not going but there is no way we can be out there without that pool. We were camping at Ichetucknee just last weekend and we almost died from the heat.
