Alan, glad to hear from you again, any more info in this trip? Have you built another one since I got your last one? I get so many GREAT compliments on it, but the wife wanted to change it up a bit, as you can see in my album.

Glad you are enjoying it. This is the annual "CHRISTMAS AT THE BEACH". Weather is usually cool and dry. As a rule there are no reservations needed as we almost have the park to ourselves. But feel free to make some if you wish. What started as a few decorations has turned in to a free for all contest for the most gaudy, garrish and white trash over indulgennce of Christmas junk you have ever seen. Lots of fun. Pot luck dinner Saturday night. I'm bringing my usual fantastic chili. Myrtle beach State Park is on Kings Highway just south of the airport and a 5 minute walk over the dunes to the water. We usually eat out most meals when down there. Plenty of places to eat and touristy things to do in the area.

Does anyone do Christmas at the beach between Christmas Day and New Years eve?

We might come, the kids LOVE Myrtle Beach State Park, but we usually only go in the Summer. It really is a great place to camp. What are the temperatures like that time of year?

Temps are usually quite nice. Good campfire weather but not freezing. Usually wear a flannel shirt during the day. Nice with no bugs to bother you.

If I recall, daytime temps were in the 60's and low 70's... nighttime temps were in the 30's and 40's.

We had a great time last Christmas.... unfortunately we won't be able to go this year, no vacation time left...
