Unicoi SP/Helen Ga

Some of us were discussing a return to Hellen Ga in the fall. Weekend of 8-10 Sep would place it 5 and 6 weeks between th North/South and Fall Crawl. Anybody interested ?

Since we live about 45 minutes from there, YES!! I was bummed we had to miss the Spring Fling and meet you folks.

At GA state parks, you can't reserve specific sites unfortunately. Which area are you going to try and get in, Laurel Ridge or Little Brook Spur?

Sounds good to me! By then I may even be able to show up in my own TD. I have declared an end to the construction phase-I walked around H.D. and couldn't think of anything I needed to buy(that was kinda depressing). I am now in details and finishing steps. New pics will be posted in my album tomorrow.

It was nice meeting you guys last time. Advice and examples really have helped alot so far.

Is there still interest in this? And on that particular weekend? If so, I'll go ahead and make my reservations now for it. Better to book early!

Last year we were in Little Brook Spur. It is beautiful park and Helen, GA is a great place to check out.

Sounds good - I'll make our reservations this week. Even though we haven't camped at Unicoi, we are pretty familiar with that area. We live only about 45 minutes from there, and go through Helen quite a bit. My husband was born and raised in Dahlonega, so that area is practically his back yard. it will be great to meet you guys!!

Never been to Unicoi, but back in the 60s I camped several times at Andrew's Cove, a small camp site just north of Helen.

:x New HP CPU went down last month and just now got back up. Do to circumstances beyond my control it doesn;t look like I will be able to make this trip at this time. You folks go and have fun. Go tubeing for us.
