The trailer body will be a closer to a 5 by 10 outside
5 by 8 inside the cabin.

do to the 1" rounded front add on and the 1' on each side added storage.

I will not have a fantastic fan on the roof but am looking at building my own.

list
Trailer Frame Harbor freight 1720 lb. capacity 4x8 super duty w/ 12" wheels and tires

Glue titebond II and Gorilla glue and air stapled
Plywood
floor 1/2 thick top and bottom with 1x2 's routed in 1/2 where top bolts are found between and 1/2 foam insolation
......... all sides where bolt cut outs are filled with silicone clear

outside walls and roof will be 1/2 inch

front ouside wall, all inside walls, and roof will be 1/8th"

Door locks and hatch lock still researching.

Killed dried 2x2 's on sides of doors and four corners as well as where hatch will start.
Cross bars could be Killed dried 2x2's or aluminum studs Depending on which is lighter.

Hinges
Doors and Hatch and side saddles

At work they offer 1x2 cheep and I use them through out the build. wall studs where 2x2 are not used, floor, wall base and top where 2x2's will rest.

deep sink battery
Paint and stain

LED lights where ever possible.

beginning to design Galley, inside cabinets, Doors, electrical, and location of inside and outside lighting. 8)

Starting on the door frames realized one is warped with have to recut one. Then I realized before I put that on I need to lay out the top on the floor so I can get as close to the original curve as possible. so I have one pc from front to start of the galley.

:? now I am looking at a Trolley top I have come up with a design while sitting in church those sermons are a perfect time to put pen to paper. If I keep adding things I will never get done.

I realize it is best to prepare the top like I am not doing a Trolley in case I realize it will not work, and if it does I can just cut out where the trolley top goes.

I will try and do a mock up drawing of that I am trying to do. But it might look like those car ads where the car and the picture is not the car that is made in the plant.

I have cut the top Roof pc to match the floor, and have put one of the door frames together. I have the layout of the side sitting on top of the trailer so I can not put in the door frame until I figure out the shape of the sides. I have drawn in the door but in conflict over the shape of the galley area.

I wanted a Tailgate how ever my wife hands when at her sides is 2 feet that comes up to the edge of the floor. it is about a 1' from her finger tips to her elbow and she is the chef cook! So if I have a tailgate when it is down she would not be able to reach the counter. So the Tailgate idea is out.

I am thinking of putting in a Trolley Top if I do it will start just after the arch. I am thinking of just cutting out the lines where the Trolley goes and then just sliding it onto the raised part if I make the arch a low enough of a sloop it should not crack!! :eyebrows2: (this is where I need one of those little yellow guys to have his fingers crossed)

I am starting to put up the studs. One Door way is up. I had drawing the door on the template but drew the sides all the way down to the ground, then I realized the first inch is the floor and I have to draw the door way one inch higher and not cut it all the way to the floor. The other door wood was warped so I will have to cut a new one. The front mast is ready to go up.
I call it the mast because it is the center of the front of the Bow it is thicker a 2x2 the rest will be 1x2's until the end of the bow and those will be 2x2's

Pictures to fallow. as I get more up.

Hey Ron, I really like the drawing with the trolley top, adds a curve on top for the profile. You're making me want a trolley top, not to be a copy cat. :R

Just playing with my cad program.

5 x 10 middle section not counting the fenders boxes. Going off your drawing, If I the main cabin is 5 by 10, that puts the height at 33” I know you did not draw it to scale. I think it will look good a 48” and a foot tall Trolley top. :)

Nice renderings.

Looks very much like a Star Trek shuttle craft in the 3/4 rear view.

Wow, it amazes me how different the trolley top looks on a slimmer body.
I'm not sure if I am crossing any lines here on your thread Ron, but Junkyboy, would you mind showing me a rendering of that same top on a 5ft wide x 4ft tall? :D
And, damn you Ron! I like the idea for the fenders too. Damn me for not thinking of it first. :FNP

A slight radius at the top front of the fender would blend that hard edge in with the rest of the theme quite nicely.

looks great!!!!! :? :wine: Thanks you very much and your Standy drawing is fun too. anyone if these inspire you then take them and run.

I am doing a 4x8 before the saddle bags the battery's I measure are a little under 7" Hopefully I can find narrower.
it is 7" from the trailer side to the edge of the wheel I guess I can go a little past.
the height of the trolley is yet unknown but the line looks right.
at the end of the trolley the top will stop just before where the hatch will go. so the side will continue down to the body can the arch will continue on the hatch line (lineup)

Dan Lott of Winnemucca, NV has this on his site much like this but the front is the usual teardrop design.
67709 click on it it gets bigger.

But it is really really fun to see what your trailer will look like in 3 D. It comes very very close to what I am thinking.

:designing: Thanks Ron

Galley is beginning to be figured.

I want to something like this but I am thinking of one on each side might be used to support the pull outs!
