Kens...YWVM...the seach feature at top is very "clunky"...after a year of beating it with a BFH, it has gotten where it generally gives me a usable result...sometimes

Hi

Glad MadJack could connect you to the web page. Let me know if you build one or if you find a way to make a better one. I have used the one pictured on the page. I can read by the light. It is a cold white light in color but it works.

Dee Bee Here is another LED link

Postby Guy » Thu Feb 02, 2006 1:15 pm

Dee Bee, Here is another LED link http://www.Luxeonstar.com. This company sells both LEDs (but only the really high quality ones) and the parts to put them together, ie Lens, collimnators, etc. Plus they have a great resistor calculator in their design help.

Sorry for the delay in reply... Yellow would work but the color will be different, you may find it Ok The number of LEd that can be placed in a 12 v DC circuit will varry from LED to LED because of color and manufacter. Ask someone at RS to help you figure this out.

I would place the maximum number I could in the circuit and reduce the value I needed in the resistor (it is possible that no resistor at all would be needed...) There are some web based calculators that will tell you the value of the resistor that you may need...

Hope that this helps.

Thanks for the info. Will check out a calculator and take results to RS and confirm. Should not be a problem now. Thanks again.

Kens, you cannot upload directly from your PC to your post...the pic must be hosted somewhere onling to post it...somewhere such as your album here, the teardrops.us site, fliker, or some other photo hosting site(yahoo doesn't count either)

p.s. further help/info can be had under the "help with photos" button at the top of page as can access to the teardrops.us site
