The skies opened, and it rained, Colemans.

Last saturday I decided to actually go look for a few sales to see if I could find any colomans my self. I been shopping ebay and craigslist for most of my coleman needs. I check craigslist friday night for garage and estate sale listing. Saw one that looked promising. One day only moving sale baby clothes , Blah Blah camping gear and a few lanterns and stoves. This looks promising I said. I got to the sale at 0900 to find these.

Duel Fuel, 08-02 $15 Been wanting one of these
Adjustable 288, 05-99 missing globe $10 This one blows mantels off one side, needs work
220k 09-80 $5 Very clean working ( already traded to a guy for a 200a, B-day for both of us)
The 275 Turd, 7-76 $5 Dirty Cleaned up great, now working
Thermos 8326,Case and warranty card $3 Cage is bent it full of unleaded gas
Red plastic lantern case $2
Coleman Powerhouse 414 Duel Fuel working stove June-92 $15
Sears model 476.74970 Tanks works stove need cleaning spider webs inside all the tubes. Tank dated may 1965
2 folding stoves stands $2 each
2 Coleman Griddles $2 each.
and to top it all off I need somthing to carry it home in.

A 1943 WWII Military foot locker $10. Someone painted the outside white but inside is still olive green and is dated.

The 220k and griddles are not in the group photo, but I’ll load a photo at the bottom.

Two nice things in the picture I bought off Ebay, the Coleman water jug Ebay May-1964 and the 502 single burner stove May-1964, ( ya B-day stuff ) Only reason I got them.

Stuff I got last month
The Coleman 5121 LP gas lantern is on the left and back of the foot locker I posted that before. There is a coleman 202 Jan-1960 ( nickel bottom one ) I paid $25 for off CL and like a bad blind date I had to buy their ugly friend as well for $25. Ruthless, The lady knew I wanted the 202 and would not sell it to me separately. All I got to ask is, Who is J. C. Higgins and why do I have his lantern. Also in the picture is a Northwest Territories propane lanterns $5 ebay and a Early Peerless folding propane lantern base $.75 ( in front of the rad case, local flea marked find ) I need a propane valve for a test.

I got another ebay win coming in soon and the 200a I traded for the 220k. When that come in I’ll post my Red boys and girls.

Ok pictures Overload.

Great honk guy. I have yet to find anything in GPA at any yard sale. Estate sales is where I find mine locally. But the people that run them know I will be there so the prices have gone up.
You did great. I have never seen a Thermos case before. JC Higgens was an employee at Sears that Mr. Sears liked so he named this sporting good line after him. Higgens didn't really like the outdoors. LOL

Thanks all.

Oh you better believe I’m watching the river closely. Here is a shot from a park across the river, and one looking up north towards my street. (red arrow) The river level is 2 foot below our street elevation but still has to get over a big embankment. Down south it already overflowing.
