The batteries will last a long time if you take them out after each camping trip. Otherwise, expect to replace the batteries pretty often.
Also, remember to take the batteries out at the end of the season so you don't get any acid leaks, which sometimes happens when batteries are left in too long. (I sometimes get lazy and/or forget.) (It's kind of like storing your lawnmower for the winter. You drain and use up all the gas in the tank before storing it.)

I'd score that as -1 for the battery power, but give back 1/4 for the Lego connection. Plus 1 bonus point for including a brown 275 in the pic.

So you're total for this thread is 1/4 point on the score card, from the judge from CT. :D

Good job on mentioning the grand daughter, remember to play the "Safety" card when saying you have a battery powered lantern.

That's what I did when I told them I had a battery powered Coleman for my grandson to play with until he gets older because its safer that way!

He would LOVE that, he is really into Lego's......

I almost got a Coleman battery powered lantern for my safe driving award at work. My son is almost 18 and a senior in high school, so I got a set of luggage for him instead. Do you think he will get the hint?
