The wife and I absolutely LOVE this little camper/micro house. A truly beautiful job. But havn't been able to find any info on it yet, like size, weight, etc. etc. Anybody have an idea where to look for further info?

I understand that people like the look of little porches, but when trailer space is in such short supply, does it make sense to waste a quarter of it on something that will probably never be used? Scrap the porch, lengthen the body sides (keep the overhang) and suddenly there's enough space for proper storage so that you could live there and have more than one set of clothes.

Or are there tiny little rocking chairs stored inside the cabin that get put on that porch every evening?

I agree. A porch is fer sittin' and rockin', needs to be at least 6' wide to do that at all, wider to be comfortable. Trailer space IMHO is better used on the inside.

Regular house porches are also good for Christmas decoration staging, before moving to storage. I'd post a pic of that, but my wife would beat me... :D

'Course, right after I hit the Submit button and stared at the picture for a sec, it occurred to me that such a platform, with tie-downs, would be good transit storage for bikes and such, similar to what folks buy those hitch receiver platforms to do. But that's not part of the tiny house concept of operation, if I understand it correctly - the wheels are mainly to move the house to a permanent location, and sometimes to avoid code/zoning restrictions. ??

Plus if you let Gradma sit there shelling peas, the pea pods are going to blow away on the highway, aren't they?

Sorry if I miss lead ya'll. I was referring to "Franks Micro-Cabin." I do like the vardo styles, but Franks Micro Cabin is truly unique!

Yeah, "Frank's Micro Cabin" is a lot better - it only wastes 12" of its length on an imitation porch, not 24"..... :D

I'm not too worried about the deck. Not 100 % required, plus it can be hinged at the rear of the trailer and raised up when going down the road. But the cabin is sharp!

Boy, those all look HEAVY. I wonder why they build them like houses instead of like trailers?

the originals were horse drawn, MPG wasn't an issue then? Why the over building today though?

no porch on this real one, I like the horse harness bar becoming the stairs.
