Time to say"Goodbye"

Postby starleen2 » Wed May 28, 2014 7:20 am

To all my friends
I would like to share some news with you – the good then then the sad. Many of you know that I am an Ordained United Methodist minister. As such, I am open to be appointed to serve different churches. Many of you have followed our moves in the past. Mostly they have been in the state of Texas. However, such is not the case this time. I have been given the opportunity to become the senior pastor of Clinton United Church in Clinton, Massachusetts. Clinton is a suburb of the Boston metro area – this move is an extreme blessing for us. Effective July 1 we will be on our way. We will miss all of you folks and hope someday our paths will cross again – perhaps LCG?

WOW
SAD news
GLAD news
Macy and I will miss you and your family.
You always brought humor and humility to the gatherings you attended.
HOPEFULLY, we will meet by a campfire again.
Congratulations on the new adventure.

Scott and Cindy and family,

Y'all will be missed but not forgotten. Thank you for all of the construction tips you've given me over the years. I think they do have internet in Massachusetts, so keep in touch!

Take care,
Tom

Well, I will welcome you to New England! We do have quite a few campouts up here. VT June 20th, Ross Hill Park in Jewit, CT in August, and then one in Nh is Sep (Tearjerker events). Great group of people.

... and welcome to Mass. I used to live in Lancaster MA, right next to Clinton. You'll want to check out the Strand Theatre and the Old TImer Restaurant.

Lots of good camping within 1-3 hours drive: Cape Cod, White Mts of New Hampshire, Green Mts. of Vermont, Berkshires in western Mass, Adirondacks in upstate NY to name but a few.

Sorry, but this doesn't work for me. Let them down easy when you call to cancel.

I guess, looking on the bright side, I won't have to purchase anywhere near the same volume of Tequila for the LCG.

Your presence will be greatly missed. Best hopes and wishes for all of you--and get back down to Texas as soon as you can.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

Scott, good wishes headed your way. Glad that Billy and I got to meet you and your family at a couple of the LCG gatherings. I would be glad to help lighten your load if you want me to take your Coleman lanterns off your hands. Just as a courtesy of course.

Congrats on the new position Scott. As already said, you all will be missed. Sure you'll find some great camping up north. Who knows, perhaps our paths will cross again. Best of luck to you.
