New owners of 1967 eriba puck in california...
We are the happy new owners of a 1967 eriba puck in the los angeles area. We need lots of advice on how to fix it up! We took it out to AZ and got on a dirt road that turned washboard on us... a previous owner had put louvered windows on the sides and the glass all fell out! Now we are looking to replace those windows - Can you advise us on what to do?

Thanks,

Russell & Mary

You guys are lucky, I have been looking for one for some time now. You can check out Thesamba.com It is a vintage VW web site and I know there are a few people on there that have Eriba trailers.

If you are just replacing the glass, any glass shop should be able to help you. If you are replacing the entire window you might find some parts at Vintage Trailer Supply. Join this trailer group, http://repairingyesterdaystrailers.yuku.com/, it has a number of experts who are very helpful. Check out the Tin Can Tourist site at http://www.tincantourists.com/wiki/doku.php?id=eriba_puck#.U4sxaCjf9Q4 They have contacts for Puck groups.

I had a '76 for about 6 years. Loved loved loved it. But it was just too much for me.

Finding parts will be really tough. You will probably have to find alternatives. Like a small VW westy canvas will be a pretty good fit.

As suggested before, go to .. thesamba. com .. accessories...eriba pucks

Thank you all for your replies! I will keep looking and let you know what I find.

I will try to find out how to post photos here...

Right now it looks like I can get a couple of slider windows with frames at this place

http://www.cleervision.com/shop/rv-ct-s ... -slider-3/

and then try to fit them in the slightly (2") wider opening. I guess I'll try to put in some wood to fill the gap and then try to seal it.

Thanks again!

The original side windows did not open. Can you get a piece of lexan or plexi cut to size (round the corners a bit) and a rubber seal?

We are new owners of a 1967 eriba puck that needs a lot of work. Looking for a source for the 67 tail lights lens, or does anyone know how to repair the, the plastic red part has big chunks missing on both of them, currently just taped up to hold together. Live in Texas if you have any parts sources let me know, need one of the eagles on the front- guess someone swiped it or it fell off. Found the canvas at matt's soft tops in the uk but thats a lot of money for 3yds of fabric in a circle, quoted me $265.Anyone ever sewn there own? how did you do the windows?
We need a usa eriba puck club.
