Nestegg trailers

Here's where you can talk to the manufacturers about custom built trailers, etc...

Nestegg trailers

Postby scanderson76 » Tue Dec 31, 2013 3:07 pm

Hello all,

I have been looking at this trailer and it seems to suit my needs very well and I was curious if anybody had purchased one. What are your thoughts? Any advice would be greatly helpful as I would like to get moving on purchasing soon to prepare for spring and summer camping!

Thanks again,
Anderson

that really looks sweet! the only "downside" I can see is the galley icebox being under the counter space, there are way to many ways you will end up with everything on top of the ice box/cooler lid that way. Just like a kitchen at home, the smaller the counter tops the more crowded food prep becomes. Adding brackets to the sides to allow extra counters would be one way around that.
Otherwise these look like they answer almost every design challenge I read on here often, the construction material sounds like it should last nearly forever.

We took delivery of our Nestegg Jan. 8th this year. Have not yet had the chance to take it out. The HVAC system is on back order, that's a bummer. We are in Arizona so we can get by without AC during the mild winter.
We will keep you posted.

BUMP

Any more field test info on the Nest Egg? The wife and I are investigating a gen III Egg to pull behind our Outback and the light weight plus overall design features are attractive.

Wondering about;
The heater/air conditioner...is it worth it or should we consider a different source air conditioner only? We already hammock camp in below freezing conditions so a heater is not really needed.

Any info on the optional 20 gallon water tank...like does it replace the 9 gallon one and the 9 gal grey water?

How difficult is it to DIY modify the composite shell material...like holes for propane lines and stove mounting etc?

It would be wonderful if the Nest Egg crew was on site to get some direct and easy to search answers. Y'all here?

I have been trying to get in touch with Nestegg Trailers for three days. No one answered their phone, only a computer answering system. When I click on the various extensions (Sales, Customer Service) I get another recording that says no one is available. I doubt they are still in business, and if they are, they must be doing so well they can turn away potential customers. Not sure how good after sales service would be if you can't even get hold of anyone to purchase a product.... hopefully, someone will have some information as to why they are so stand offish to new customers...... And, yes, I made all of my calls during their listed hours of business.......

There's a 2015 Nestegg listed as an auction item here, 4th from the bottom:

Wanted to mention that while on Facebook and looking for "teardrop trailers", I came across a post that said "Getting back to business after a huge move." dated September 28, 2016. I always thought this had to be the easiest teardrop to maintain although I could be wrong. I liked the semi-off road model with the black accents. I'll be watching the FB page to see if anything further develops.
