I have a 07 GMC with the 4.8 v8. even being the small V8. it is still rated @ 290hp.

my sister has a 05 Silverado with the 5.3, and that thing is a beast.

Nice truck Greg.

Too many semi trucks on the roads around here. With the gas wells and construction projects, not too mention the I-35 corridor, there seems to be more big rigs everyday.

Glad you and Terri are ok.

With "Tow Truck" as the subject I had visions of a dually with the hydraulic lift in the rear and you moonlighting cruising sport stadiums, concerts, and apartment parking lots.

Nice truck.

Nice truck Greg. It should pull the STD without any problems.

Looks good and should hold alot of firewood! My buddy has the same truck but the 4x4 version, my 5.3 Silverado does great with the 3.73 gears. I am glad no one was hurt in the wreck!!

Nice. I have a 2001 GMC Sierra with 5.3L...So far, have 180K miles on it and still going strong. Only issues so far was fuel pump, water pump and rear main seal.

So, you have a LOT of life left in that truck. You can expect some minor annoyances like the lights on the radio/dash burning out or one of the running lights burning out on the front but nothing major.
