Hey slow, here's a thuoght. How about you build the galley area to suit your cooking needs so you can do the cooking for your future lady when you are camping or on the road.

Wife does all the cooking at home so when we go camping I do it all. To tell you the truth I love cooking while
camping it is relaxing. Some people like hiking some taking pics me its cooking. Slow if you want to see what type
of food to cook for your lady go to my Facebook page BL Camper and look at pics

what type of stove would a lady cook on?

Postby nevadatear » Mon Sep 29, 2014 8:39 am

Both my husband and i do the cooking while camping. I do the meal planning and he is a great sous chef. We have no need for an oven cause we do the dutch oven thing. Although i love Becca's answer, since I don't have one at home , i can't have one camping. I love my camp chef two burner we got last year. There is picture of it on teamredjeep's thread about the glyphs. I also agree with Kevin. While I do love to cook while camping, it has been my experience that just as many men as women cook at gatherings. Test out a few more of Dean's cast iron specialties and develop your camping chef favorites. That would be much more of a draw for a woman to come your way than putting in a fancy oven and expecting her to do the cooking.

Bob does the evening cooking on an open fire, I do the morning meals or quick stop over meals on my Camp Chef Everest. Neither of us have any use for an oven in the tear.
You might want to consider "ease of cleanup" and organization in your galley design. For me----everything has a storage space, and if possible, multiple uses. Surfaces are wipe-able and easy to sanitize---no cross contamination.

I don't think Slow's going to expect the lady to do the cooking, unless she wants to. Personally, what I want when cooking is lots of counter space.

When my husband and I went camping I was his assisstant, He did all the cooking although I did make coffee. I used a gas fired coleman stove for 40 years. It worked fine. He used a DO as an oven and made many one pot meals.

What Nancy like a great deal is having hot water and the sink.
