While the majority of the group reserves sites in the first loop some of the electric sights in the second loop are closer to the shelter and heated bathrooms. Shelter on the map is the "star".

Thursday April 23rd thru Sunday April 26th 2015

Cooler Near the Lake IX
It's Time for Number Nine

The shelter has been reserved for Saturday night and I will reserve it for Friday night when we have the 15th trailer signed up.

For those campers coming Thursday night you can plan on us having a cooks night out at a local restaurant.I would appreciate suggestions and like to try and get reservations for the 40ish people that may show up.

:wine: Friday night will have our normal "Meet and Greet"

:picnic:Saturday I would like to follow the trend that LOL has established by having people contribute to either breakfast or supper, but not both. :Flippin Burger:

I will continue to update the first post with who is camping where as I learn who is coming.

For now it is time to put the :vroom: trailer away.

See you in the SPRING!!!!

If you have never attended a "Cooler Near The Lake" but are curious, try looking at last year's photos starting here;

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=57806&start=255 and then look at the following pages.

And No, Doug and Nan do not normally celebrate their anniversary by first dropping their cake on the ground. Well I should say I don't know that as a fact.

Dare I tempt fate and try to attend next year, providing I can stay out of the hospital this time? ;-)

I guess I will have to go out to the park and pick a site. Every year I try a different site thinking this is the one and every year I am not satisfied. I'll let you know when I have chosen a site.

Verna,

It's a known fact that coming to "Cooler" is actually good for your health. It's the water! Bob (BrwBier) uses only local Sheboygan water in his home brewed beers and I always feel better after a couple of those.

And I get smarter too! :D

You are right Gary! We don't throw our food around. Nan was so elated,
that she wanted everyone to see that terrific cake. However the cake,
obviously had a mind of its own, by attempting to flee. The bench,
intercepted the cakes plans, and knocked it to the floor, leaving
it with minor injuries. The EMTs came, picked up the suicidal
mass, and began to dissect it, for the purpose, it was so
graciously intended. :P Thanks again.

By the way, Nan & I have site # 13, again. :)

Registered for site 88 again. Had a great 3 day stay at Wyalusing State Park last week and am hoping to get one more mid-week camping trip in before it's time to put the tear away for the winter. Looking forward to the next CNTL and the spring camping season! Now if only winter will fly by as fast as this summer has.

It's that sad time of year in which I take my Teardrop up to my large garage at my cabin and put it away for the winter :( .

Here's to all my friends that I won't see until I meet you again at "Cooler Near the Lake IX". :wine:

Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas

Gary

In the loop which most of us stay '^6" camping sites are already gone to people unknown. See first posting to be directed to registration for an open site.

Hi, all --

May I make a couple suggestions?

1) In the opening post of this thread, where you have the link to reserve a spot, please put up the "Loop" name so it's easy to find a spot.

2) In the next post where we proclaim the date: "Thursday April 23rd thru Sunday April 26th 1915"
Perhaps we could edit the date to be in this century. My time machine's busted so I can't go back 100 years. :D

At this point, I certainly HOPE that Annette and I will be able to attend. But my employment situation is, at this time, not great. I'm working at a job I really do not like and am hoping to find a new job soon. That's going to affect whether I will have any vacation time to take off for that Thursday and/or Friday. It may even affect whether I'll have the weekend available.

So I'll probably have to wait a while before reserving a spot. We'll see what happens.

Kevon,

Suggested edits have been made. I would point out that anyone interested in coming in period WWI clothing is welcome. ;)
