Purtis Creek Nov 14-16 **SOLD OUT**

Postby 2bits » Fri Jul 25, 2014 12:43 am

I have reserved Fri-Sat at Purtis Creek the second weekend in November, I hope you will join me. Sites 26-36 are kind of on a row of their own so I will be shooting for one of those. Tell them you are with Thomas Miller and I hope they can put us together.

We will be camping at Texas Motor Speedway the first weekend in November and we are planning camping at Mineral Wells SP Thanksgiving weekend so we will not be able to do Purtis Creek SP. I may have to work that weekend since I will be off on the others.

We'll miss ya Woody! Al least this one is two weeks before Thanksgiving so there's still an chance to do Mineral Wells too for some others.

Hope y'all do come out. I've been spreading the word to some tear droppers that are not familiar with the forum. I'm hammering out my design plans and am looking forward to seeing y'alls trailers!

Thread hijack off! Please excuse my interruption. :)

Hey, make sure to tell them about the Mineral wells gathering! That will be a bigger group to get people in on! This event may be a small one or a non-starter, but I'll be there either way.

Doesn't look like there will be any Teardrops at Purtis Creek. I know Cindy and I will be there in the Up & Down Lounge. I think Thomas is still coming.

I wasn't sure if you guys were booked, but I am! Glad to hear you are coming! I am excited to camp at this heavily wooded park for the first time. Also there will be my friend Kelly who I just sold a camper similar to mine and hopefully will have it to camp in by then, otherwise they are well practiced tent campers, but I think they'll have the camper ready by then since it doesn't need anything more than a mattress to be campable. We'll be in sites 29-30 -ish

Well, if there are just a few of us, we can do some fishing and sit around the campfire. Maybe even just grill something for dinner instead of a potluck. Everybody just bring something to go on the grill and we can open a can of beans and fry up some potatoes. :stompspam: :wine:
Good food little work.

Sounds good Cindy, I've never been fishing before LOL. Once kinda when I was a kid. I do have a good pole and lures though, been waiting the use them when I (someday) get my boat running. If it's chilly we might defer to just the campfire though!

I invited my little sister who was excited about it and another local friend mentioned that they wanted to go camping so I suggested they come out too, they are great to hang out with.

I can make chili for Saturday which will feed alot, yes I actually make something good haha and Kelly always does something good too

I'm not going to commit just yet, but I'm interested.
I'll burn that bridge when I come to it.

It has been a long time since I've been in here. So much happens in life that is unexpected we just have to stop now and then to relax and get away. I don't
have a camper as of yet but would lie to visit everyone at Purtis creek this November and look at the campers. I am not a Texan by birth and have only been in Texas about fifteen years. So if someone could tell where Purtis creek is I would appreciate it.
