You will notice quite a difference this year at the park. There has been quite a lot of trees cut down due to the Emerald Ash Bore found in Sheboygan County. Because of this cutting there are an abundance of branches and twigs on the ground. I don't know if anyone wouldl be interested but Saturday is Earth Day and Cleanup day at the park. I you would like to help out for a short time they would welcome the help. Here is the information about the cleanup. There is a sign posted in the park office and you can also ask about it when you register. What will be done is loading branches on trailers, raking and general clean up.
Just putting this out there just incase someone is bored and doesn't want to take a nap.
Time: 9:00am-3pm
Location: Meet at outdoor shelter for group assignments
Equipment: Volunteers should wear work shoes/boots, long pants, and gloves. Please bring shovels and rakes if available.
Other: Park admission is free for those volunteering. Individuals and groups are invited. Noon refreshments will be provided.
