Left the campground a little after six made it home bout 3:30 . Had to race west the last couple of hours to stay ahead of storms that we're moving north trying to get me! Had a great time, really nice area, planning on next year! :)

Had a great weekend after the rain on Friday. I'll try and get the group shot posted today. Glad Woody and Tammy and Charles and Linda were okay after their mishaps going home.

So sorry to hear about your dog. They become such a part of the family that losing one is a tragic experience. My condolences.

Linda called me while we were on the road and told me they had just lost their wheel & tire off of the trailer but they were fine. That's good.

About 30 minutes later we had a blow out on the trailer east of Rockwall on I30 in a construction zone. Had to drive about 1-1/2 miles on the interstate with a blown out tire because the concrete barriers were next to the white line-no shoulder. Put the spare on and continued home.

About 30 minutes after that our son called and said the air conditioner in the house was not working. So we got to come home to a hot house after a great weekend of camping with new and old friends. Took me about an hour to fix the a/c in the house. All in all a great weekend.

I am so sorry about your fur baby. We do get attached to our 4 legged kids. I so hate that I missed meeting you. You do not owe anything. When someone leaves we do not have to cover Saturday's site fee. I wish I could reimburse Friday night but it was tied up in the initial deposit.

We sure hope you can join us next year.

We had a couple of other friends that had to leave early and a couple that could not make it.

We missed all of our friends that were not able to come this year. Life seems to get in the way of our fun. I hope 2016 is full to capaicity which we almost met this year

I want to thank you all for being part of a fun weekend. Beavers Bend started when Charles heard it was a pretty park and wanted to camp there. I called to make a reservation and they told me we had to have 10 or more to make reservation. So......I got on the forum and rounded up some folks to join us. I will have to look back at my records to see exactaly how many were at Beavers Bend #1

Charles got the trailer home today. It will be getting a new axle. Sad to say it was 3 years old and we had only pulled the teardrop 3 times and that was to Beavers Bend and back 3 years in a row.
Truck got new tire, front end aligned and oil changed before trip. It will be getting new hub bearing this week.

Now off to wash clothes and clean up in the house since I threw everything in the kitchen last night and played with Charlie. :-)

Trailer (and I) are still waterlogged after Friday, and I'm nursing my knee injured in the Saturday Night Water Balloon Massacre, and sustained alignment problems to both truck and trailer from a major pothole on I-30 (incurred @ 75 mph...100+ miles from home). Still managed to get it home... incredible "death wobble" over 30mph, but I crawled home at 60-65. More things for me to keep "working on". Can't wait for the next BB. Had a great time with good people!

It looks like everyone had a great time - rain or no rain. Thank you for the pictures. We really hated to miss Beavers Bend. It was our first gathering we attended with the South Central group.
