Well, after a good 8 hours yesterday..........I was disappointed in my progress.
You know, one of those days where you weld and fab, and weld and fab, and think about how the next thing should be done
But then by the end of the day you stand back, and it looks like you accomplished nothing??? :x
I guess that sums up my excuse for no pictures taken ?? :R

I get it Brian... I can't even count how many times I've posted pictures on the build journal and then thought later, those pictures look just like the previous pictures I posted. And the previous pictures I posted before that. There's so many times where hours and hours of labor is invested painstakingly, but very little to actually see accomplished in a general perspective. My guess is, you got a heck of a lot done that needed to be done even if you can't visually see it. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other buddy... Kermit will get there.

At some point all of the little steps that don't add up to much suddenly roll over and you get past that milestone hurdle that you were doing all of the work for in the first place; but you won't get there until you take each step. So keep putting the time in; the reward will come.

...and give use a little credit. We can see the work and progress you make, even if it doesn't seem like much. Go ahead and post the pics!

I had one of those yesterday. I've been meaning to post an update but I want to wait until the hatch is on so there's a pic or two.
That was supposed to happen yesterday but there was always one more thing to do, then the heater ran out of gas.
Then I ran out of beer and that was the final straw

Just keep biting off pieces, chew and swallow...you'll get there.

Maybe that was the problem?......I still had beer left in the fridge by the end of the day?
Then wine after Sandi came home, :wine: and the enthusiasm to get back out there was gone?
Now, I am fighting the football game  The heat is on...... and I was making such good progress before I came inn for lunch at 2:00pm.
Guess I could go back out until at least Happy Hour???
Happy New Year

Happy New Year! Since I know you are a Big Daddy Ed Roth fan, thought I'd show you what I found in my father-in-laws shop yesterday...

Hi Dave
Yes, I have a good week this week! My head is definitely back in the game. ;)
I have a long way to go if we hope to be ready for the 2016 Camping season starting in April?
Unfortunately the things I am doing right now don't show up as progress in photos, so my reports are a little thin.
Yesterday, I did about 10' of welding, and bodywork was started on the roof.
I have been fabricating panels to weld in........but they all have to go in, in a specific order.
When I get to a point where I don't need to make anymore pieces .....things WILL pick up.
I promise I will start reporting again soon.

Any progress is good, I am learning.
I am distracted lately with my daughter's wedding this weekend.
I look forward to the coming camping season though.
I just read and watched videos of your last build. You have some skills!
I hope to see your stomping grounds someday. It looks great!

Hi Dave
We look forward to meeting you too.
Good news, is that we are not too far away. ;)
Get your passports! :wine:
We need to find some more Teardrop Campers here on the Dry side of the mountains.

Thanks Frank
I am embarrassed to report that I have spent over 6 hours installing the "Tool Box" sliding door tracks.
They had better be worth the effort!
But now, once I build the aluminum lids and test drive them, I can start buttoning up the floor (needed to get that step done before I could move on).
Need to move to another area! :wine:

All of the special details take a lot of time... but they are what make a handcrafted work of art special!

There can not be anything "cookie cutter" about your chosen method of building, since everything is custom. It will be worth the attention and care that you needed to take to get that task the way you wanted it.

Thanks KC
Yes, this double sliding aluminum lid idea, was one of the ways I plan to eliminate another piece of wood.
I "Miss Piggy" the tool box lid was one of "Three" pieces of wood.
As I plan to have 2 drawers in "Kermit" , both requiring 2 wooded sides........I am already over my wood budget.
Oh, wine rack will know have to be made out of an alternate material
