MtnDon, Howdy;
Shoulda known I'd find you up here as well. One of my neighbors had a tire on
his pick-up go soft due to a goat head ... and it was a fairly new tire to boot.
He'd run across about a 50' patch of them on his way to his gold claim last autumn.
A bike shop in Las Cruces gives this recommendation;
http://rideonsports.com/articles/flat-t ... -pg286.htmand a brother in Fl. (used to live in Winter Park, Co. for 20 years), recommended;
http://www.schwalbetires.com/bike_tires ... _plus_tourSo, perhaps if I go "Over the Top", I could mix the tires my brother recommends
with the rest of the "stuff" from the bike shop and I should be able to just loose
my wind pedaling instead of flat tire fixin' ...
I also need to raise the handle bars up some, converting a Mtn. Bike to a hybrid
should be easier on the back and create a larger target for the 4-wheelers to aim at.
