Bryan, looking very nice now! The hatch looks great & the rock guard looks to be plenty solid. Are you planning on a tongue box in the front? If so, think about a similar treatment for it as well. With the miles of gravel roads up there, you're going to need it.

Thanks for the encouaging words. My plan for the tongue is a rack that will hold a 45 quart Pelican brand cooler. They come in many different colors, and I am going to get an orange one to match the fenders. They are a very durable thick plastic, so it will be kind of a rock guard in itself.

Mounted the curtains today that my Mother in law, Salena, sewed up for me. I used cable curtain rods from Ikea that I modified. Made the stands shorter. Magnets were sewn into the tie back straps. Happy building

Looks great ratrod, i like your bimuild and your approach. This will continue to be a source as I get my own stretched benroy put together. And thanks for the advice about the all aluminum. Yours really does look sharp with the alumina Ndamukong then the orange fenders. I wish I would have read your journal before I ordered my doors a month ago. The all mill finish frames look great.

Also, i was stationed on Fairbanks for two of the last 3 years, just left 12 months ago. I miss it, even the winters.

There is something about Alaska. I have seen many people return after they have left for awhile. I think it is the wide open space, and the freedom. Also, you can just be yourself. Thanks for your kind remarks, Bryan

The drawer boxes are now installed for the initial fitting. They are installed with 100 lb RV style slides. Next I will put the cherry Shaker style fronts on. Then comes the final spar urethane finish. Happy building, Bryan,

Your trailer looks fantastic! I especially like the detail work on the cabinets and hatch :applause: .

I like the strike plates you have for your hatch. Where did you get them?

Thank you. The striker plates came from the Teardrop Fix-it Shop in Victor Montana. Here is a link.
