I like your metal framing and your fit and finish is of a very high quality! That water storage unit is quite clever. Do you hope to camp in it this summer?

We do hope to do some camping this summer for some shake down trips before our trip to Wisconsin this October.

I've made some more progress. I cut and sized the Baltic birch plywood for the headliner Image Image
Here's a picture of the headliner wood removed and getting ready to cut the carpet and glue it on. Image
And here is the carpet glued on. Image
The part where there isn't any carpet is the ceiling in the cabinets. The headliner with carpet weighed 19 pounds

Here's the headliner glued to the steel tubing Image Image
Here's a few pictures of the inside with the headliner. ImageImageImageImage
So I guess the next thing to do is start putting the frame work for the vent and the rest of the roof ribs.

Not to be redundant, but--those inlays on your cabinets look terrific!

Thanks I wanted to do something on the doors and that's what I came up with and I really like it. The black walnut that I used in the inlay was some that my Dad and I cut on our Wood Mizer saw mill several years ago. If the black walnut wasn't so heavy I would have used it for all the cabinets. I finally recieved the hinges and the doors are now mounted but I still need to do latches or magnets and knobs.

I've installed the rest of the rafters some steel and some wood Image

Here's the inside lights. If we need more light than the two I've installed I will go with battery powered led lights.

Image
I also built a drawer. And I'm still thinking of how to finish that opening to the left of the draw.

And a view of the inside.

I'm starting to install the foam.

I can't find the Owns Corning foam board anywhere in California or Oregon. It looks like there not selling in these states anymore. :( I haven't checked in Nevada yet.

Can you tell us a little more about the techniques you used to do the face inlays? They look nice!

First I built a basic shaker cabinet door. Then I cut my walnut inlays 1/4" x 1/4" Next I cut my groove across the top and bottom rails a little less than a 1/4" deep so the inlay would barely be above the rails. Next I glued the inlay in the grooves and let them dry.
Next I cut the grooves up the stiles though the rails and inlay and then glued those inlays in and let dry. I did leave the walnut hang over the door edges a little bit. After glue has dried I cut ends of the inlays flush to the edge of the door and sanded and sanded.
I hope this helps and if there are more questions please ask.
KC I have read most of your thread on your build but I think I've gained weight from all of the food PORN. :) But I know I've have gained some knowledge and ideas. You have an AWESOME build going on there and I love the way you take the time to go into detail on your work and ideas though out your build. Your almost there. :applause:

I've started on the insulation on the roof. Image
Here I've started to do the curved part of the roof. I cut grooves on the back side of the foam about every inch so it will bend around the curve what a mess. It looks like it showed here in July. Image
Image
This to next day after the glue was dry on the top of the curve.Image
