anyone have good plans for a diy rocket stove for cooking

I build one using tin cans and a paint pail, it works well but smokes. I think the measurements of the different tubes are not right.
Basically like this.

I want to make a new one that does not smoke anyone built one that works well and does not smoke?

I haven't made one. Read about them....

Try adding more air by puncturing the top of the fire box can in the gravel
with a can opener around the rim. Make a few holes at a time.
Also maybe use less wood to feed it at a time? let more air through the fire
itself.

I first got interested in rocket stove back in the 90's and ran into this site.
http://aprovecho.org/

They've been working on them since the 70's in third world countries as a way to keep women for having lung problem. Alot of there designs aren't portable but
it's an interesting site.
After taking a look at your stove pickI seem to remember that you need a grate in the intake side to lift the wood off the floor of the stove. putting some sort of grate about 1/4 way up on the intake side of that stove should help with the smoke problem.
