11 years - Thank you, Mike

I was introduced to teardrops at 8 years old traveling with my fathers Cabin Car in the early 1950's. Built three teardrops before finding the T&TTT forum and two more since joining. Still checking in now & then, learning and contributing when I may have something to add.

And still scheming on improved designs. :designing:

I want to thank all who came forward to say hello. Many more responded than I expected which tells me that I'm not the only old-timer that checks in to see what our community is up to. Once again I'd like to thank Mike and all the admins who have worked so hard to keep this board alive. Thank you all for participating, either by posting or reading or both. I'll always say, "You meet the nicest people in a teardrop."

I have to second Rob's comment, if it wasn't for Mike (and others), where would any of us got our info? (I shudder to think what info we would have stumbled on out there on the 'net all alone.)

But thanks to Mike for giving us a virtual campground/workshop/meetup for all things TD&TTT,

Although I don't post much, I still look in, read some posts, learn a few more ideas and thoroughly enjoy being a member..

I began my 1/2 Nelson Woody build in 2002, so I guess I have been involved for about 14 years. I joined as soon as the site was active and it actually changed my life. Teardrops are here forever, they eb and flow, and I hope it is on the upward swing. Virtually no teardrop gatherings have been scheduled in the huge teardrop-interested Southern Californa. With more teardrops in this area than in any other area in the world, I do hope that it will once again, catch fire and promote the same interest of 150 or more trailers, as in the years of the past. Come on TDers, at 84, I ain't getting any younger, so time is running out. Soon, I must sell all 3 of my precious teardrop trailers, and I do hope there will be more interest in local gatherings, just like there was 14 years ago..........Help! Any intersted So Cal folks interested? Come on, get involved, lets be the capital of TD interest once again!!
:( 8) :NC Roly, the lonesome woody teardropper........

Hi Roly
Sandi and I have missed you so much this 2016 Camping Season! :(
If you are not busy building as new Teardrop....maybe you should be the one to start the next "Big Gathering in SoCal"
Build it and we will come!
Good Roads

PS
If you are feeling good......get on your horse and head north for our Fall Crawl!
We would love to return some off your hospitality at our Farm.

It has been a long time since my 45 years of reseach, preplanning, organizing, scheduling and promoting any kind of meaningful event. I put that all aside when I dropped out of my construction supervision role, when I retired some 24 years ago, Brian. I have a hard enough time staying on top of my own simple responsibilities, and taking on a teardrop gathering, is way beyond my abililty, since I am only 16 years away from my 100th birthday. I am sure there is a very didicated, resonsible teardropper who is willing to take this bull by the horns and do all of the legwork, and put together some wonderful gatherings, right here in our sunny So Calif area. We have dozens of seashore, desert, and local mountain campgrounds available for any size get-together, large or small. I'll just have to sit back and see what happens in the future. No matter what, I'll be there with bells on, and so will so many countless other TDers.
8) Roly, remaining hopeful, with my freshly varnished all-wood 1/2 Nelson Woody, which is now 14 years old, and counting.

I nominate Veddette for crazy uncle...

Dang, I only been here 9 years 4 months and 1 day.

I do not check it like I use to. Use to look at it a lot when I worked at a computer terminal and was building at that time.
