Looks pretty good!

I'm curious, are the spaces below and to the sides of the cubbies just lost space, or is there a plan for those areas? My thinking is that in a TD there really isn't any room for lost space.

I was going to leave it as lost space as it really isn't much really usable space there. The front panel is just screwed in so maybe I'll revisit that section.

Yeah, it wouldn't take much. Perhaps a hopper shaped tip out bin. I'm thinking maybe for a sock "drawer" or spare face towel. Maybe not worth the effort depending on your style of camping, but if you're not sure what you want yet, as long as you keep your options open you can't go wrong, right?

What did you use to trim the outside edges ?

I used 1 inch aluminum angle for the corners, 1.5 in aluminum flats around the bottom of the trailer, and 1 inch flats on the nose. Got it all from Lowes

How are you going to seal the A/C unit, to prevent leaking air from inside to outside and vice-versa, sliding it back and forth? I see no seals on the sides, none over the top, and the sliding tray presents no true sealability, with the sliding track area open at both ends.Even if you attach the normal expandable accordion seals to the sides, you'll still have to re-adjust them upon moving the unit. Same goes for however you affix sealing strips to to and bottom. I would use rubber fender welting in place of the metal/plastic ends of the accordion seal, and possibly on top and bottom, too. Or door sweeps or shower door bottom seals? I mounted my A/C permanently in a bulkhead, sealing it there with several layers of foil tape, just so I wouldn't have to worry about getting a good seal whenever moving it about. However, that became a moot point when I decided to seal it entirely within the closed trailer, running it without the hatch open at all (I never thought of the mini-door you have for yours).

That is still an issue I have to work out. I had thought about finding a piece of edpm pond liner and cutting a square our of the middle smaller than the outside on the ac u it so it made a seal around it when it is pulled out.

I am thinking for an immediate working solution cutting pieces of my left over insulation to fill the gaps. Not an elegant or attractive solution but it'll get me on the road.

I use 3 pieces of black packing foam cut to size, (both sides and the top) and fit them whenever I pull the AC out.

Thanks for the idea. This is what I ended up doing. I still had a bunch of the stuff from my window packages.

First hook up and two laps around the block. It didn't fall apart so it was a success!

Cushions are in 6 in of HD foam and two inches of memory foam. I have to cover the one piece. I needed it to support the front of the cushion when I made it into a couch.
