I had to buy 46 to get free shipping. Used everyone. CLC recommends a minimum of 30 but more if you have them.

Thanks for continuing to post your progress. I've built a couple CLC boat so I'm not surprised the kit goes together well. But this was the one area that I had my doubts about when I saw this kit: could do the doors so they don't leak.

That's why I did the jams first. I want to be able to fit the door to them when I glue the stiffeners. I would like to avoid the strap if possible. The kit comes with a pull strap that looks like an afterthought. It is also used to pull the top and bottom of the door together to "tune" the fit.
