Micro AC

Postby Nytewyng » Sat Jun 24, 2006 3:59 pm

Does anyone think or know about this type of AC unit http://tinyurl.com/o2hkz I was just googling and came across them. No prices on the web site but I did email to see what the cost is. Geez 2 or 3k BTU might just be perfect for a Teardrop and the size is tiny What do you guys think?

I have looked into panel/cabinet mounted coolers, as well as wine room coolers... all are heavy and expensive.... aside from petcool, have found nothing very good.. this one weighs 64 pounds and is 1K btu...

Kooltronic is the same company that makes the Petcool. They sent me some literature on the Kooltronic products with the new part I ordered for my Petcool.

I knew I had heard that name before, now I know where...as far as the price goes, I was afraid of that........ 8)

so much for that idea  although I did tell the sales rep via email if he wanted to sell a whole lot of them rather than one or two a year we have a strong following here at the site and if the price was right ....who knows....?

$1700 :money:

Oops, Kooltronic doesn't make the Petcool, these guys do:
http://internationalair.com/

I bet they'd be open to a group purchase of the Petcool.
Here's the guy I bought spare parts from.

Got this one at lowes... not fancy

I am putting it in my tongue box. I took the face off, ran a chase up, and the return to the side. see pictures
tested it today.... 90 degrees

no insulation, blocked doors up, and put a piece of ply wood on the roof.

The temp inside was 65 degrees

Depth (Inches): 12
Height (Inches): 11-3/4
Width (Inches): 15-1/2
