you're diving off into the SHANTY BOAT realm

GREAT CONCEPT!

Jim Michalak has 2 designs for them that would fit very well in this game

the 16' Shanteuse

http://www.duckworksbbs.com/plans/jim/s ... /index.htm

& her little sister the 13' Harminica

http://www.duckworksbbs.com/plans/jim/h ... /index.htm

the designs are BASIC which allows the builder's imagination to run wild

there is a wonderful interwebsite that looks at this concept from the tiniest to the huge

How about this one.
We saw this one of a kind home build, on one of our camping trips.

The owner tows it down to the harbour and backs it in to the water. Then he retracts the wheels in to the hull, with a cordless drill.

How about this inflatable boat camper? Camper Cat.

Here is a variation. It is a camper with a boat on top.

The Australians have this....

http://www.caraboat.com.au

Often mentioned in the same breath is the Bolger Watervan, which has great space efficiency and an innovative hull. However, the trailers it's been seen on are a bit high sitting and clunky, so maybe a torsion drop axle side beam type trailer made with camping in mind would be good.

and nobody mentioned the Nomad...

Which oddly, there's 2 of for sale in range of me right now.

One with a highly tempting price, but a bit suspect because listing only includes those pics there which are the first few on a google search.
