Got the bed shelf in Friday. Finished the electric off this morning.
We added a dual USB port in next to the 12v lighter socket.

Wet, rainy weekend. Couldn't work on the Woody but I did get the new drum finished!

I make these out of propane tanks. It's where I get my daily spending money.
And I use the left over steel for Combat Robots.

Nasty weather for working outside so far this week.
Still getting 'er done.
Routed and mounted the hatch hinge brace board.
Finished the interior roof skin and the hole for the vent fan.
Finished the rough wiring & insulation.
Finished the closet cleating, gotta get a new piece of shelf wood. I messed up a cut earlier in the build.
You can see 95% of that in one pic.

Rain, rain, rain.
Still plugging away!
Rough trim is done on one side, 75% on the other side.

Thanks 8)

Got one side trim all sanded, routed, stained, glued, screwed, pegged and sanded again. Ready for final stain and varnish! Man that trim is a job.

Crazy busy but still plugging away!
Trim on, doors finished and mounted.
Locks mounted.
12v electric fuse panel in, ditto the rest of the cabin lighting and the outside door light. All nice LED fixtures.
Most of the 110 v done. I'll mount the receps in after the rest of the wood is varnished.
Happy to see both sides done on the outside except for 2 more coats of varnish.
That trim is beautiful but a real PITA!

Have to finish the inside closet then start on the galley and skinning the roof.

Got the Galley shelves started.
Cooler or fridge fits in the slot to the left.
149200

First cut for the Bustle wings jig.
Gonna look at it a minute before deciding.
149201

I'll get a pic without the plastic blocking the view.

I cut the wing down 2" and I like it.
149202

This will give a 14" x 3' counter on each wing.

Got the Removable Butcher Block Counter top ready for the 10 day long sealing process.
The cleats are screwed but not glued in case the future owners want to customize here.
Very few screws are left uncovered on this TD but they are easily accessible on the cleats.
Lots of room for a cooler or a fridge. Propane tank should fit under the center counter. Gotta double check it but the plan says it will. :worship:

I'm curious about the "Drum".
How do you make them ?

Morning =)
I usually use an old Propane tank that has seen it's usable service life ended.
That means pulling the valve, filling it with water and letting it sit overnight at least.
Then I cut the ends off and grind, smooth, sand and paint them with primer.
Black primer inside, grey outside. Then a quick sand off the paint from the edges where I have to weld.
149209

I give it a hot weld with the MIG then a smoothing with a flame torch and then a good grind and sand.
149210

That makes a nice shell, I mark the keys on it and cut them with a jigsaw and tune them with a file.
149211

A little paint and it's a drum.
149212

149213
Buy them as I build them and they are $150 plus shipping.
Custom orders/ key of C of F or paint style & colors available.
I use the leftover sleeve of steel for my "Mechalodon" Combat Robots.
149214
In fact selling the drums is what pays for me to build my robots lol.

We have wings! The first test fit is always a little exciting.
Perfect fit for the passenger side wing. The drivers side is still drying in the forming jig.
149413

Each wing gives an extra 14" x 33.5" of counter space.

Wings installed.
Great Line-up and really tight.
149864

They open up nice and the big gate hinges seem to be plenty strong.
149865

Have to pull them off and route the trim then I can screw them on for good.
Then on the hatch!
