I'll second that and hope to see you with your trailer in a campground this camping season!

We made reservations at The Home Built Designs and Original Teardrop Trailer Gathering.

Also maybe the Beat the Heat Meet and Greet. If the snow melts enough.

We also hope to make a trip up into Oregon, Washington and maybe into Canada. SEEYA at the campground.

Damn this thing is sweet. I really like your heating setup and the tube skeleton. That's by far the best/most well thought out teardrop heat setup I've come across.

How well does the beetle tow it? Is it a gas or tdi? I'm just curious because your finish weight is higher than I'd expect for a trailer that size (but you have a lot of features crammed in there).

Thanks for the kind words. :D The Beetle is a TDI with a five speed trans and it tows it great. On the last night of our trip heading home from Wisconsin we spent it in Death Valley and the next morning we headed to 395 and went from below sea level to over 5000 feel above sea level in 20 miles. That really tested the Beetles towing ability but it did fine. As far as the heater setup it works great but does add weight. But it's worth every ounce of weight.
(keeps the wife happy) We can just set the thermostat to where we want it and stay nice and cozy all night. When we where in Yellowstone it was in the upper 20s and once it was heated inside it would only come on about every 30 minuets for under 1 min.
I do drain the hot water heater system before towing for the day just to lessen the weight.

I added a mountain graphic to the front of the Teardrop. What do you think.
