Texas Hill Country Greetings

Postby gregkagay » Tue Dec 01, 2015 5:02 pm

My build is well advanced, but with much left to do. I waited to start journaling the build until the walls were attached. My build journal presently is well behind my actual build progress, but I hope to catch the online photos up with the ongoing build soon. I hope you enjoy the photos and descriptions. You can see everything here:

Welcome to the forum Greg.:shake hands:
Nice build documentation including all your jigs.
It appears you're using Okoume, expensive, but a great choice.

Welcome! There are several teardroppers in the Austin area. If you haven't already check out the South Central section of this forum for area gatherings.

Update: I had not updated my build journal for some time, mostly because the build keeps me busy. But also I wanted to reformat my journal. Originally I organized it chronologically. That structure had limitations. So I have restructured the journal by trailer systems (e.g. "frame", "body", "galley"). With this new structure in place, the journal is now in a more advanced state. However, it is not up to date. I have finished my roof and I am about to skin the entire trailer. I hope to catch the journal up to the build in the coming weeks, as I approach the fourth quarter of the build itself.

Texas Hill Country Greetings

Hi,
I'm in Bee Cave. Not sure if that's near you but would definitely be good to leave the vacuum of my build for a moment. Would be interesting to just talk sometime about your approaches to different design/build considerations. Your work looks great so far. Just cruised through your site and looks like a lot of attention to detail. Looking forward to the latest pictures. Take care!
