Hey everyone! Just got back from the maiden voyage to the great beyond... all 1845 miles of it! Had a great time and surprisingly had few issues with the new trailer!.
Happy Monday!

Did you get to test out your suspension? That sure is a nice off road trailer!

The suspension worked as anticipated during our trip. The dump circuit for the bags worked great and helped make the deployment to "cooking height" :) really quick. I chose to use air springs for the purpose of having the counter height ergo for me but at ride height to match the jeep it was 49". Counter height was the main reason for the bags, Plus I just wanted to try to pull it off. The handling of the trailer was as anticipated as well. I did not install a sway bar to control body roll, but the shocks I used are stiff enough that I did not experience any weird roll/ trailing issues anywhere we went. Surprisingly, I also did not get a noticeable feedback of road bumps back through the tongue so my assumption that the bags would really float the trailer proved out. Very happy with the result.

The list of yet to do's are:
Finish the cook station pull out next to the fridge where the stove and cooking gear will go. Renderings to come.
Bells and whistles for storage, shadow box setups for the Snowpeak cooking/dishware I plan to have on the vehicle. I love their products and can't wait to get them in hand.
finish the cabinet doors.
SOLAR!!!!!
Install the high angle coupling setup.
Roof rack fab for the RTT to come. I post some renderings of the rack soon.

HUMP DAY!!!

Just got caught up on this thread - my oh my is that frame and suspension setup ever amazing. Wow. I want that suspension!! I've seen those airbags on Safari Van and a flat deck offroad trailer... but nothing as classy as your setup. Thanks for the pictures for inspiration!

How does sealant get on my triceps and then my car seat?? more than once??
Aluminum is almost as fascinating as wood.

Hey everyone! Fell off for quite a while.. Family, Christmas, and new business ventures have slowed the trailer progress.
On a good note, I will be starting up again with details, punchlist and completion of the galley, roof rack, and small tasks I could not get to last year after the trip.
A new business venture has allowed a new tool for use in the teardrop. We have purchased a CNC Co2 laser machine that is quite fun to use. Just getting started utilizing it in the trailer details..
This is the new master switch panel in the front box for the main cutoff and compressor switches. Just playing around with graphics and logos for fun.

That last picture, especially, says it all for me! :applause:

Thanks for posting. There are so many vistas like this on the Magruder Road (where Poet Creek Campground is located), that your picture almost takes me there... and I can use all the motivation I can get right now.
