Good morning! If it's not late me and my husband Bob would like to come too. We are fairly new and sounds like lots of fun.
Thank you

While I can not speak officially for Debbie and Randy. I see no reason you can't come. There is lots of space there.

Welcome to everyone coming! Sorry I have not reponded earlier. We are looking forward to seeing everyone in september. Brian, the route will be off 80. Unionville is off state route 400, off I-80 between Lovelock and Winnemucca. Not knowing where you are in BC, not sure if it is best to come down through california thorough Reno, or through Idaho, and dowwn 95 to Winnemucca and then west to Unionville. The exit to Unionville is the Mill City exit 149.more soon!

Just an update! There is still room for a few more trailers at our gathering in September in Unionville, Nevada. This is a laid back, relaxed gathering that is held on a free county park. 8)

Two weeks away. Are we getting excited yet to meet old and new friends and enjoy one of the best county parks any place?

Re: UPDATE Twain and Tears 2017- Unionville NV

Teardrop friends coming to Twain and Tears gathering: There has been a slight change. Due to unexpected surgery on my part on my ankle due to frequent sprains and falls, Randy and I will not make it to the gathering this year. I have to have surgery, and since I cannot bear weight for 3 weeks, my Randy is my new slave! We are very disappointed, but Sept 14 was the only date available until after the first of the year to get this done.

The good news is the Gathering is still on! Our good friends Kat Howe and Sam Howe from Carson City and Randy Phillips from Idaho have agreed to pitch-hit and co-host the gathering for us! Both have been before, and shh, it is Randy's birthday weekend, so party on! The gathering is still free. If you did not receive directions and travel log, send me a pm with your email and I will make sure I get it to you in the next few days. Not sure when they will get there, so if you are the first one there, park wherever you like, as long as it is not on the grass.

There will be a porta potty up there, but if you have your own, you may want to bring one. There will be a pot luck on Saturday night, but if you want to do group meal/s on Friday, feel free. While the gathering is free, last time we did a free will donation for the park caretaker to buy and plant more trees (which he did). You might want to do the same this time. There is potable water, and garbage cans for trash. Remember the last 3 miles are well-maintained dirt road.

We are hoping if my surgery goes well, we may be able to come up for the day on Saturday. Since I am non-weigh-bearing for 3 weeks, so we will just have to see how it goes.

Have a great time, hope to see you Saturday, but if not, since we are retiring and there is no IRG to compete with, how about we make this annual now?

Just a reminder there is no cell service up in the canyon. If you need to be in touch with the world, make your call before the last 3 miles. Some of you responded quite a while (year?) that you were coming. Pm or post here if still coming and your rsvp was over 6 months ago please!

To all our friends coming to Unionville for the Twain and Tears gathering: Weather looks great! Today and tonight are the last days of rain showers. Forecast is for cooler days (this is based on Lovelock) in the 70s and nights in the 50s. It will be a few degrees colder up in the canyon, so come prepared with an extra blanket and your propane fire pit. No campfires in the park. Should be a beautiful early fall weekend. Keep an eye out for deer and have a great time! Hope to see you all on Saturday, ankle permitting.
