I had an idea......

This would satisfy the "Thrifty" as well as the light weight theme we have going on here. I have a plastic folding table with a sink built into it that I use for my BBQ business and competitions. It could easily be converted to be hard mounted into a gally or simply be used as designed. Not bad for $60 - 70 and 20 lbs with the folding metal base.

I have been looking at those too. There are a couple different styles out there to consider.

Well, I made through the Foamie Novel. I am going to make a hybrid Foamie Squaredrop with under cabin storage. The platform 2x4 is a 40 by 48 trailer lengthened to 8'. The trailer I may shoot my self in the foot but it is bought. My TV is 89 s-10 blazer rated at 5,000 tow capacity so weight really isn't a problem.

We bought a tear drop camper in October that was built by someone else. I have been thinking about adding a canvas titebond roof to it. Does anyone have experience with doing this as a retrofit? And am wondering how to handle this with the galley hatch area which does not have a great seal on our camper.

Not sure how your hinge is designed, but this might give you a idea. Basically a living hinge placed over a piano type hinge.

D&S, are you doing it to protect the roof ?? If your roof is plywood , that’s a GOOD idea ...
