Also got my switch panel started, I misplaced one switch so the hunt is on. Retro looking volt meter in the center.

Had a great Sunday, got over the last major hurdle. Made up the galley hatch and test fit. I did put on the latches after the pics just to make sure there were no surprises after PMF. The hurricane hinge is only mounted temp right now, but I am going to mount the fixed side while I am PMF'n the hatch. I will also be building the galley between TBII canvas and coats of paint. I am going with some different products on the hatch. Canvas from http://www.bigduckcanvas.com/categories ... -yard.html and different primer and paint. Trying to get a more uniform texture, with what I learned from the walls, and how they turned out I am pretty excited.

There will be a drawer above the cooler, and cabinets on top of counter. On the left will be the slide out for the cook top, and inbetween will be a nother pull out counter top. Withthe long galley we dont want to have to reach in while meal prepping.

Canvas from bigduck canvas went on smooth. Ironed nicer and layed out way better than the drop cloth canvas. First coat of primer is down.

Just read through your build. Looks great considering what you started with..
Much farther along than I am,, life and health keeps getting in the way here... :)
Glad at least the trailer worked out for you and the other parts you could salvage from the original..
Like the galley layout so far, will have to keep watch as it develops more.
Come on and give me some more ideas jsn....
Your build is really helping me with some of the planning for my galley.. Thanks for posting all the pics,, they help alot...
Stay safe, David

Made some more progress on the galley and the hatch. Got the second counter top cut. First one was set in too far, so I made a fake hatch to get a confirmation that the hatch would clear. Got the floor down, cooler drawer in and got the plan for the camp stove side ready to go in my head. Hatch got its final primer coat. I sanded between the coats. That brought up some fibers. So after it dried I used a torch to singe them and a razor blade to remove them. Turned out very nice and I threw down the first coat of paint.

Thank you, as you can see got a little more done this weekend. Hope the health problems are minimal and the progress is maximum for you.

hopefully I can wrap up my Galley this weekend, besides staining and sealing. Took tomorrow off to work with my daughters student council and Toys for Tots, but ill be home early so hopefully get some extra time on the build. Would have got more done yesterday but the son and I had to go see Star Wars.

Time with you son is certainly more important than playing with a camper.

The galley is coming along nicely. I am digging the checkers.

got some more work done last night. Stove drawer almost complete, still have to put bottom on. Will need dimensions of the gear the wife wants to keep under the stove before setting up shelf height and stuff.

Still need to trim out the drawer front, after she picks hardware she wants. Next will be adding a drawer above the cooler and laying down the laminate on the counter and stove drawer.

Merry New Year to everyone! Had a pretty good holiday. Would have got more done, but got called out to work three times over the course of the weekend. Good for the wallet, bad for motivation. Especially when the phone says its -20 when the called me out Monday, after celebrating Sunday night

Managed to get the galley stained, and hatch interior skinned, wired and installed. My wife was able to balance it for me while I wrestled it. Needed to gain the room back in the garage. Its too cold to open the big door, and the mess is getting out of control. So at least I will be able to clean up tonight. Gain some order while we cook down the home stretch. I haven't laminated or fastened down the counter top yet. I want to make sure there are no clearance issues before making it permanent.

Didnt get much done after getting the hatch on. Just too cold, and too much life stuff. Was able to squeeze a couple hours in last night after sons basketball game. Got the counter top laminated installed and trimmed out. Next I will be starting on the cabinets, drawers and cubbyholes. The wife is very happy with how it is turning out so far. Now that she can see it this far she has some more ideas of what she wants as far as places to put items and what she needs to do so. Plate holders, utensils and pans we use camping.

Hopefully I can get my cabinets done before the weekend so I can complete the wiring to the hatch. The right side cabinet will hide the wiring pass through and hatch light switch, and usb chargers.
