OK campers, if you have ever attended the WTW, or ever wanted to, it is on again this year.

What? Walk the Winds 2018
When? Friday July 20 thru Monday July 23
Where? New Fork Lake group campground,
Bridger-Teton National Forest
Just 24 miles from Pinedale, Wy.
Why? Because it will be a good time for ALL!!
How? Just let us know you are coming and show up.
Cost? Still only $115 for the entire group for the weekend. A real bargain!
Who? Hosted by Sagebrush and Slow Cowboy

The area is quite large, 35 campers they say, but we can fit in more TTT if needed.
The site has pit toilets, firepits and tables.
Lots of firewood on site so don't buy or bring any.

No water in campground but water is available in Pinedale at the Ranger Station.
29 East Fremont Lake Rd.

Showers are available in Pinedale at the aquatic center.
535 N. Tyler Ave. 5am to 8pm

Grocery stores, gas, ice etc available in town also.

Directions from Pinedale WY

US 191 north for 6 miles.
Turn right onto WY 352 toward row of Cora.
WY 352 for 14 1/2 miles (past Cora turnoff)
Bear right onto New Fork Lake Rd. (County Rd 162)
This becomes Forest Service Rd 370730 upon entering Bridger-Teton Natonal Forest.
FS 370730 for about 1 mile, go past road on right, past large bearproof dumpster on left.
Take next left to group area, just over the hill.
You all come!

I have been to this gathering twice in the past. It is located in a beautiful area of Wyoming, just a couple hours south of Jackson Hole, The Tetons and Yellowstone. If you are planing a trip, put this gathering on your itinerary. The lake is just across the road, so if you are a fisherman or have a Kayak , bring it along. Slow Cowboy (Mike) and Sagebrush (Will) are first class hosts , so don't miss out.

hello guys I appreciate will taking over this walk the winds gathering I am fighting the typical Wyoming job thingy as normal. hanging in there and ranching I kinda put my cow check into wood for the kampmaster instead of reserving new forks it got me into a bind. but on the other hand progress and sawdust is getting done on the kampmaster. I am very happy to see walk the winds again I missed it last year big time its a big thing for me. very fun gathering and me and will do co host it. its a fun gathering to lay in the arm chair for 3 or so days. would like to put to gether the carvan like 2015 up to green river lakes the photo ops up there are awesome and it was lots of fun. I hope to make more of my fishing to this year. haaa. I been reading up on pinedale its number one in Wyoming for fishing and I did last time in 2016 catch me a fully legal 3 to 4 pound rainbow below the dam at new forks during the last walk the winds he was very good eating!. :D

planning on some good dutch oven meals of my own probably not my ranch beans. got some new ideas cooking and a much smaller Swedish candle for the main campfire. haaaaa! made good photos last time ! but I plan to tone it down to natural normal. but got to hunt me up at least a pine log not my old popular trees at home that I been thinning out some dead trees.
I will bring and have on my 2 gallon cowboy coffee boiler. so yep we do offer coffee. come emjoy! food ant to bad no long lines and we have lots of friendly folks to talk with for 3 days! Slowcowboy

hello lee I been building my new kampmaster in sub assemblies fighting hi tec computer and cell phone issues to up load photos. so heres one from last fall. might just need to take new photos I got one cabnet mostly compeated the rear door and one wall and most of the flour deck. gas shocks mounted to the trailer frame leaf springs got a lot of irons in the fire short on cash for materials and started it for a honey moon trailer and my exs and being a domestic violence sourivor blew that up a few years. then farming slows it down to I am in no rush to complete it mostly a fun project to keep me from getting to bored on what I call the 7 year build plan. I started the kampmaster build in jan 013. I still have my old first teardrop to camp in so yea its like romance no hurry. taking slowcowboy pace time doing a good job on workmanship and putting a lot into it. even art work like my brand carved in the door and some counter top cabnet lids. heres one photo if I can rember how to add photos to this crazy forums photo add methods.

I'm curious. Why go to the ranger station for water? You have the Green River right there. The water purifies nicely, and has these cool very tiny shrimp in it that turn bright red when you boil it.

I'm thinking hard about it. I was last in that campground in 1998, having backpacked from Fremont Lake. It's time for a 20 year trip.
