Steve, it is an event that will be open to the public and which we can participate in. As a first time event who knows how well it may or may not be attended. I have no problem moving dinner to an earlier time. There will be more information about the event on the park's web pages. I was also told that Dennis and Cheryl are the camp hosts that month. For those of you that have not met Dennis and Cheryl, he has made several teardrops and they have been a part of our group for along time but now do the huge 5th wheel thing.

I understand Gary, and I think it could be fun. But our group is a novelty and I just thought we may want to be around, especially if the weather is nice. Maybe we could turn it into some kind of a progressive event with finger foods, cookies or drinks for those walking around. Just thoughts, this is your gathering so you make the decisions. I would be happy to help in any way.

Both good ideas. I was kind of thinking this might be a fun walk and something some of us would like to do. I know I would like to. If it's a cooler night we might want to allow hikers to join us around our fire. I would think it would make sense to keep the back heated room for our selves and our personal affects. Might be a good way to introduce people to our style of camping and also score some points with the park. Tiki torches and prominent displays of Tearjerker banners etc. would be cool. What ever ideas we come up with I would want to run by the park's superintendent. If there is an issue I would guess it would revolve around alcohol.

Hi all,

Ginny and I plan on attending the 26th and 27th. We have site 49 reserved and this is our first event and our first time using our TD, so this is all new to us. We don't have to travel far, we live in Sheboygan and just hope the wind is not too much off the lake. We can't stay Saturday, I have a trip to Indy that day.

We do plan to attend the CNO.

Welcome Rick and Ginny. Hopefully you have read page one especially "What to Expect" as it should give you a good idea as to what we do on our weekend in your part of the woods. While I am from south of Milwaukee (Burlington) I have a brother that owns the HealthMart Pharmacy across from ShopKo so I have some knowledge of the area. You should find us a good group of people to get along with.

I will be ordering buttons in the next week or so. If you are a collector of event buttons and you have not let us know you are coming you will need to inform us shortly or possible miss this year's button.

God Bless you Theresa! You are one tough girl. I can bring you a big space heater if you want it. Right now I still have my snow shovel out, but I'm hoping to not need it.
