Some sights will be hard to get to if weather is wet but we need some adventure. Pit toilet has been clean when ever I have stopped. And it is FREE.

Right on the river, with a boat ramp and docks. As long as the natural gas pipeline does not spring a leak.

At what point are you determining a plan B? It seems a bit out of the way to access Mordor from.

Will have to keep an eye on the weather. I do expect rain that time of year but I said that two years ago.

It is not out of the way to get to if a person is going via American Falls. I you wish to go via the Minidoka-Arco road then turn east at Bear Trap Cave, the rattle snakes are it would be out of the way. But then that route would be rather muddy if I invoke "Plane B"

Plan B is only for rainy weather.

Past few weeks we been getting some rain. Not enough to close down the roads. We a few might have but not for long. keeping the desert a bit greener

Dealings with my dad's estate. Just found out about it yesterday.

And if I do go I may not be in the best of moods. You probably know how these things to often go.

George

Would you like to host it? I can get some maps and perhaps mark out some roads and sites and mail them to you.

Or any one that would like to pick this up.

Sorry to hear of your troubles Randy. My prayers will be with you.

If people still want to show up I will pick up the reins for you.

So are people still interested in attending? Let me know so we can keep this rolling, George.

This is not looking very promising for me, build progress is moving slow and i'm wondering if my first trip should be so far (had originally planned Farragut earlier this month). I still want to hit craters this summer so maybe we push this out?

I am thinking the same thing. Could push it back a couple of weeks. Randy makes it worth the trip. I don't think it would be the same without him. Can't push it back too far though...Don't want to be out in the desert in July.

We do however need to make a decision soon. Time is running out here.

Randy what you think?

I could do the very last weekend of June. 28th-30th
Why all the thunderstorms we've been getting it might make sense.

Rob.

I can probably make that weekend. I do not have anything planned. At the moment.

Wolfgang might have problems rescheduling.

Hi,

Unfortunately Randy is right about my timing.
The end of the month I hope to be camping in Oregon and Washington after visiting with my brother for a few days.
Sounds like the trip to Land of Mordor is a no go for me this year. May be next year the stars will align :worship:

Hey Randy, you going to Walk the Winds this Year?

I hate to say it, but I think it will be best to cancel this trip.

How about a reschedule in the fall?
