Vintage Tech door trim rings

Postby Carl01234 » Mon Jun 04, 2018 7:10 am

I just purchased a new door to match my existing one I got from them a few years back. I ordered 2 additional 1 1/4" trim rings, one for old door and one for old window. The old trim rings and the new trim rim for the window are black. The new trim rings for the doors are polished aluminum. I really thought they would all be the same color. Any idea on painting aluminum black?

I used an aluminum self etching primer before the top coat and have had no problems with the paint after about 10 years.
