I used an acid bath and then polished and it came out great.

VERY nice. Siding is so straight. Mine has much character...MUCH. Did you polish above the seam on the roof? Or, just "normal" mill finish. coyote

Thanks Dave! Mine has alot of bruises that you can't see in the photo, trick is to get the sun just right! I did leave the upper rear panel unpolished because it gives it kind of a two tone look. Off to Ebay! :pictures:

Wow! That was fast.

Holy cow, Rose is a teenager now! Done? Surely you jest. A teardrop is never "done".

WOW very nice.
How do you keep it looking that way going forward?
Wax it or put a coat of something on it or elbow grease?

There is really no way to keep it looking that way. You just let it be and when it starts to bother you, then you polish it all over again. Depending on your taste, it could be a yearly thing. I polished the sides you can see once before but I've never done the entire thing but I like it faded too and I have alot of projects 8)

I looks great, Thomas, and I imagine that polishing it every year or two will help keep any road blemishes in check.
It also gives you a chance to look over the whole outside of the trailer, in detail.

I know alot of guys track their hours but I don't. I really have no idea since I did an acid bath on it first and had to redo both steps and this that and the other. I would say if someone was going to do it, and not do the acid bath, a reasonable estimate would be one side per day and then the front and rear on the third day, with about 3-4 hours of work each day. If you have REALLY strong hands, arms and back you could do it all on one day but you would need a day sitting on the couch to recover. A teardrop I would say would be one solid day.
