I sure hope that you have checked to make sure your hatch swings away from your wall and is not hooked under it. The further you go w/o verifying this critical issue, the more work that will have "passed under the bridge".

Simple as pinning, or taping, a string to your side wall at the hinge point and seeing if the radius of the lower most edge of your hatch swings by the profile turning at the hinge.

It will really suck if you build your hatch and can't open it.

I put a simple hinge on it and it seemed to work fine. I noticed a slight tight spot that I believe a bit of sanding will fix. Other than that it seemed to work fine.

:P :worship: I'm so relieved for your sake.

Believe it or not, but that has caught people out before.

Wow that tail is a tight fit. I love the profile. You had to take a couple of feet off of you plan? The curves are very smooth.

I actually originally thought I would but was able to adjust and keep the 12 feet. I did slope out the back a bit less though to gain a bit more headroom in the back.

WOW!! I love outdoor shots behind tow car. :applause:

Really gives good perspective to the size of the camper. Absolutely love that wide yet low look it has.
Keep at it. It's going to be a beauty.

So I'm a little hung up on door handles. I really don't want to spend a lot on prefab rv door handles. Does anyone have any recommendations? I saw an interesting idea using locking t handles but am not sure about the latching mechanism.
