Interior looks really great, are you going to do something with the exterior of keep it "rustic"?

Nothing planned for the exterior, its aluminum so rust isn't a concern like keeping the patina on a car.

Wow, Mr. Thomas! Quite an impressive piece of rehabilitation! Say, is that finish you used the Cabot "clear wood protector" water based finish? It looks really clear, some of the reviewers on the Cabot website complain about it being yellowish...I am unfamiliar with the Cabot products, but your results have made me curious...Thanks, Nodrog

Hey, Cabot is not water based, its just regular polyurethane and not the spar varnish either which gets very yellow but they all do, kind of nature of the beast when using poly but to me that is desired and gives it a warmer deeper tone. On the cieling panels I only needed to use a single coat. I swore to never use anything else and now my little hardware store is no longer selling it and moving over to the stinky Minwax brand. I will just need to stock up online. I am not a fan of their stain but their poly is stellar

That is a dang good guess because that is EXACTLY what I named it and for that exact same reason! A friend of mine made me a bag and a floor mat with my logo too!

It looks like it is dirty in photo and from afar but it is actually a green wood grain pattern that is printed on the side!
