It’s gonna be a great kitchen after months of designing and thinking about the best way to build.

That planning time is certainly paying off.

I think it's pretty cool how you'll have access to the lower drawer while the stove is deployed.

Pasting this rigid insulation sometimes gives some problems with the bulging, then fixing is the solution.
Made a hole for the skylight and started filling the cable ducts with PUR foam

Insulation in the walls and covered with 4mm multiplex. After that put 5mm bending multiplex on the roof.

We decided to cover the walls and roof after this with 3 mm dibond / alupanel, can get that in large sizes and already coated in the color i want.
This week we’re gonna visit the distributor to choose a color. We think it’s gonna be matt moss green.

Today worked at the skylight. Because i could not buy one in Europe for a reasonable price i decided to made it myself.

i covered the hole in the ceiling with bending triplex to get nice and smooth sides. Cut the 6mm polycarbonate to the right size and it fits and it bends smooth on top of the roof.
Stripped the thin foil about 1” and sprayed it black so that you will no longer see the glue kit.
sprayed the heads of the screws also for a nice finish.
this weekend we will pick up the sheets of alupanel so that we can continue with the finishing of the roof and walls.

Bought big sheets of dibond/alupanel (4 x 2 mtr 3mm thick 1/8”) today to finish roof and walls. Roof is gonna be metallic silver. Walls are matt ORANGE (the national color of the netherlands).

Dibond or alupanel is hard to bend at the front. Let the high tack glue/kit dry for a few days before we finish the rest of the roof.
The part at the front feels really solid so i’m happy with the alupanel finish.

After the installation of the dibond / alupanel on the roof, the installation of the walls started.

Alupanel is a great material where you immediately have a sleek waterproof finish.

my alupanel is gloss on one side and matt on the other, i use the matt orange for the sides.

Beautiful looking job :applause: :applause:
I’m especially love the Dibond orange exterior and the ‘old school’ sliding doors on your kitchen cupboards.
Great craftsmanship.

Tailoring and bending the trim. To cold for caulk in Holland at the moment. final assembly must wait. but plenty of other jobs to do.

Because i can’t buy readymade doors in Europe i have to make them myself. Using 3/4 multiplex and 1/8 dibond on both sides.

Finished the doors today. My doorframe is white but want it black (which was not available). This week spraypainting the frame with 2-component matt black.

I like your skylight. In hindsight that is one thing I’d probably change on mine.

By the way, this is my Woody in Wyoming.

Holy cow, Rose is a teenager now! Done? Surely you jest. A teardrop is never "done".

The doorframe is painted matte black because it fits better with the orange walls.

Door and window now mounted. I think it looks cool.
